週一，金融市場氣氛轉佳及地緣風險擔憂降低，英國富時100指數得延續早盤氣勢，並跑贏其他歐洲市場，終場收漲 1.62%，達8,024點創歷史新高。 英格蘭銀行貨幣政策委員會(MPC)官員戴夫·拉姆斯登發言淡化英國通膨風險，引發市場猜測其將投票支持放寬貨幣政策，觸動投資人買盤湧現。 

盤中對利率敏感的公司成領頭羊，歐卡多Ocado、瑪莎百貨Marks & Spencer 和 Next 等零售業公司股價上揚 4.5% 至 3%，而住宅建築商 Persimmon 和 Barratt升2.5%。 與此同時，銀行股跟進，匯豐銀行HSBC上漲 3%; 而巴克萊銀行Barclays也取得2% 漲幅，該行於週四公佈營利報告。 但是，渣打銀行Standard Chartered 因違反伊朗制裁受調查表現落後金融同業。 另外，基本金屬價格回落拖累礦商表現亦遜於大盤。
