米雇用統計上振れで米ドル上昇

4日、米ドルが上昇したのは、9月の米雇用統計が過去6ヵ月で最大の雇用者数の増加を示し、失業率の低下や賃金の大幅な伸びを示したことに起因する。こうした景気回復の兆しを受けて、市場は米連邦準備制度理事会（FRB）による利下げ観測が後退した。これを受けてドル指数は0.54％上昇し、102.49で引けた。

米労働省が４日に発表した統計によると、9月の非農業部門雇用者数は前月比25万4000人増となり、エコノミスト予想の14万人を上回った。一方、失業率は4.1％と予想の4.2％を下回った。

この堅調な雇用の拡大に対しての投資家の反応は、たとえそれがタカ派的なスタンスを伴うものであったとしても、経済成長をより重視することを示唆している。その結果、CMEグループのFed Watchツールによると、FRBが11月に25bp利下げを予想する確率は、3日の68％から97％に上昇した。 

また、リスクエクスポージャーを持つ市場参加者は、週末に市場を大きく変化させるようなニュースには遭遇しておらず、地政学的リスクやエネルギー供給の途絶といったリスクは根強いものの、新しい週にはさらなる上昇の見込みに自信を持っている。最新の中東情勢を見ると、6日にかけてイスラエルがレバノンとガザ地区のヒズボラの標的に対して空爆を行った。イスラエル国防相は、敵対するイランに対する報復のあらゆる選択肢が検討されていると述べた。
