米FOMC決定を前に、ハイテク株不振と弱い決算が米国株の重荷に 

大手半導体企業の急落は米ハイテク株全体を圧迫し、S&P500指数は0.50％安、ナスダックも1.31％安と約2ヵ月ぶりの安値で取引を終えた。また、ダウ平均は銀行・保険株への買いが支えとなり、ハイテク株安の影響を受けずに0.50％高の203.4ポイントで取引を終えた。投資家はこれからの企業決算発表を慎重に吟味し、日本時間8月1日に発表されるFOMCの政策金利決定を辛抱強く待っている。 

半導体大手エヌビディア(NVDA.US)は引き続き7.04％安と軟調で、他の半導体大手の株売りを誘発し、同セクターの調整局面が長引いた。これとは別に、マイクロソフト(MSFT.US)の2024年4-6月期決算は10％近い増益となったが、Azureを含むクラウドサービスの売上高は予想を下回ったため、失望売り圧力がかかり、時間外取引で6％の大幅下落を記録した。 

メルク(MRK.US) とプロクター・アンド・ギャンブル(PG.US)の株価は、決算発表後それぞれ9.81％、4.84％下落した。ブルーチップ銘柄の急激な調整に見舞われ、市場のパフォーマンスに大きな影響を与えた。
