米CPI統計で早期利下げ期待は後退、ドル上昇

米国の通年インフレ率は、エネルギー価格の下落傾向が鈍化したことで、5ヵ月ぶりの低水準となった2023年11月の3.1%から12月には3.4%に上昇し、市場予想の3.2%を上回った。また、昨年12月の消費者物価指数（CPI）が前月比で0.3%上昇し、エコノミスト予想の0.2%と前回の0.1%を上回ったことも注目に値する。

変動の大きい食品とエネルギー価格を除いた2023年12月の通年のコアインフレ率は3.9％と、過去2年半で最低の水準となり、前月の4％から低下した。12月の統計は、市場予想のコアインフレ率3.8％をわずかに上回った。
