カナダドル買い優勢、原油価格の高騰が支援材料

8月26日、原油価格は2.92％上昇し、この2週間で最大の上昇幅となる1バレル77.10ドルで取引を終えた。この上昇は主に、リビア政府が東部地域のベンガジのすべての油田を閉鎖すると発表し、世界の石油供給が脅かされたことによるものである。

さらに、中東の緊張が原油価格の上昇を押し上げた。レバノンのイスラム教シーア派組織ヒズボラは25日、イスラエルと衝突し、情勢は不安定なままだ。ヒズボラはイスラエルに対して大規模なドローン（無人機）で攻撃とロケット攻撃を行い、イスラエルは空爆で応戦し、ヒズボラのロケットランチャーの多くを破壊した。 

カナダの主要輸出品である原油価格が高騰すると、カナダドルもそれに追随した。その結果、米ドル/カナダドル相場は0.17％下落して1.3485で引け、この5ヵ月で最低の価格を記録した。
