ウォール街の反発により、米国市場の主要株価指数は最高値を更新した。火曜日、日本の株式市場に活気が戻ってきた。日経平均は0.9％高の38,440円で始まり、東証株価指数は0.7％高の2,720円と、前日の下げ幅の約半分を取り戻した。米国の国債利回りの上昇にもかかわらず、テスラ（5.3％）、アップル（2％）、ブロードコム（5.4％）といったテクノロジー主要銘柄が上昇を牽引した。 

ディスコ（1.6％）、三菱重工業（4.2％）、東京エレクトロン（2.1％）、トヨタ自動車（1.2％）などの指数構成上位銘柄も目立った上昇を記録した。一方、楽天グループ株はIBMとの特許侵害訴訟で和解に達したことを受けて4.6％上昇したが、武田薬品工業はてんかん治療薬の最終段階の臨床試験で、主要な評価項目を達成できなかったことで3.3％下落した。先週の金曜日には、日本銀行が7月の政策金利決定会合まで国債買い入れの削減計画を詳しく説明するのは待ってほしいと発表し、金融政策の方向性に関する投資家の憶測が高まり続けている。
