カナダのインフレは引き続き鈍化、利下げの可能性高まる 

カナダ統計局が火曜日に発表した消費者物価指数（CPI）によると、カナダのインフレ率は、前年比で3月の2.9％から4月は2.7％に低下したと。この結果は市場予想通りであり、統計局は、食品価格、サービス、耐久消費財の価格下落がインフレ低下に寄与した原因としている。 

前月比では、変動の大きい食料品とエネルギーを除いたコア指数は横ばいだったが、総合指数（CPI）は0.5％上昇した。また、コア指数（Core CPI）は前年比で1.6％上昇し、3月の2％上昇から低下し、3年ぶりの低水準となった。 

経済指標の発表後、投資家らはカナダ中銀が早ければ来月にも利下げに踏み切る可能性を高めている。これを受けて、カナダドル対米ドルで弱含み、今月初めにつけた5週間ぶりの高値から大きく離れて1.36ドルを突破した。
