金は安値から反発、米PCE統計待ちに 

金価格は、米PCE個人消費支出価格指数を発表される前に先週の下落分を帳消しにした。貴金属の中では、銅も同じような運命をたどり、先週の記録的な高値から引き下げた後、徐々に上昇した。 

現在、投資家は米連邦準備制度理事会（FRB）が重視するインフレ指標である米PCE価格指数に注目が集まっている。この指標は、FRBの次回の政策調整により多くの情報を提供すると予想され、FRBが今年少なくとも1回は利下げを行う前提となっている。FRBは9月に政策金利を据え置く可能性が高いが、予想外のPCE統計はこの予想を変えることになるだろう。 

これまで多くのFRB高官は、インフレの「粘着性」が高いため、高金利が長く続く可能性があると警告していた。最近の小売売上高や非農業部門雇用者数などの経済データは景気冷え込みの兆しを示しているが、一部のFRB高官は、この見方を確証するにはさらなるデータが必要だと改めて強調した。
