2月15日木曜日、ドイツDAX指数は、好調な企業決算ニュースが相次ぎ、欧州中央銀行総裁クリスティーヌ・ラガルド氏が楽観的なコメントを発表する中、0.6%上昇し、過去最高値となる17,047ポイントで取引を終えた。 

ラガルド総裁は、ユーロ圏の最新の経済統計から、インフレ率がすでに抑制され、予想される目標水準に近づいていることが示されたと述べた。しかし、同氏は、政策金利の変更を検討する前に、特に賃金の動向について、より多くの情報を収集する必要性を強調した。 

個別企業のニュースでは、ドイツコメルツ銀行(Commerzbank)の株価が5.5％急上昇し、2023年の利益が前年比で55％増と過去15年間で最高の伸びを記録した。また、自動車大手も好調だった。メルセデスベンツ(Mercedes-Benz)とBMWはともに2％近く上昇した。しかし、市場全体が上昇したわけではない。エアバス(Airbus)は好調な決算と特別配当を実施するにもかかわらず、1％下落した。
